"your love for humanity will be at its zenith" is an eight song album about overcoming the personal demands and injunctions that prevent us from showing up authentically for connection in community. it documents transition, depicts grief as a transformative event and distinguishes love from limerence.

thank you to everyone I still know who has seen me changing and continued to love me and believe in me even when I was being a little weird and uncertain.
thank you zoe and stump for singing and laughing with me, for making it possible to perform the first live version of this project so beautifully and in such a short period of time without any notation in exchange for a loaf of bread and a sense of lasting fondness.
thank you van for bringing the earlier version of midas and fondness to life with me for my first birmingham audience when everything was still so dark and so heavy. thank you always for seeing me and accepting me earnestly as a changing being, for you friendship and for building community with me and for allowing the rest of us to meet more and more of you with every layer of yourself you discover.
thank you hugh for being my friend and for inspiring me to live without compromising the nature of my spirit for anyone else's comfort ever again.
thank you to my family in birmingham for giving me a place to live while I worked through the worst stuff and for having the same piano I played when I was a baby so that I could remember how to sing like I did before too many things knocked the wind out of me.
thank you to the folks in birmingham who have repeatedly shared your light and your passions with me, for being curious about me and for showing me how to be curious about other people without hurting myself. i am inspired by you.
thank you summer. for modeling compassion and inspiring me to understand my script to let it go. I remain grateful for so much.
thank you to everyone who has listened to my music since I started publishing it on the internet when I was fifteen years old. so much has changed about me and the internet but my excitement for arranging sounds has only grown. thanks for everyone who has listened for free or for a few bucks. there were times when that twenty dollars here and there really helped me out. this music will be available for free, forever.
